UPTAC Counselling choice filling for Round 1 started on 22 June 2026 and closed on 25 June 2026, as per the official UPTAC 2026 schedule. This was the first and primary choice filling window of the entire counselling cycle. All candidates who completed registration by 15 June 2026 were eligible to participate.
The complete round-wise choice filling start dates for UPTAC 2026 are:
- Round 1: 22 June 2026 – 25 June 2026
- Round 2: 30 June 2026 – 1 July 2026
- Round 3 (Final): 6 July 2026 – 7 July 2026
- Special Round 1: 19 July 2026 – 23 July 2026
- Special Round 2: 27 July 2026 – 30 July 2026
Choice filling is done on the official portal https://uptac.samarth.edu.in. Candidates log in with their Application Form Number and password, access the choice filling section, search for available college-branch combinations using the seat matrix, add choices in priority order, and lock them before the deadline.
Locking is absolutely mandatory. Preferences that are saved but not locked are not processed by the allotment system. After locking, candidates must download the locked choice confirmation from the portal as proof.
Round 3 (6–7 July 2026) is the most important choice filling window after Round 1, it is the last opportunity to edit choices, and the preferences locked here are also used for Round 4 and internal sliding. Candidates should treat Round 3 as their final, definitive preference submission.
For Special Rounds, choice filling is available to new registrants and candidates who formally withdrew from earlier rounds. Candidates who were allotted a seat and did not withdraw cannot register for or participate in Special Round choice filling.
