How to apply for UPTAC Counselling?

Application for UPTAC 2026 is purely online at https://uptac.samarth.edu.in/ and here is the step-by-step application process:

Step 1 – Create account: Visit https://uptac.samarth.edu.in/, click on “Register,” input your full name (exactly as written on class 10 marksheet), date of birth, email, password, and mobile number, then verify by OTP, agree to Terms & Conditions.

Step 2 – Verifying APAAR ID (New For 2026): An APAAR ID verification pop-up will appear. Enter your APAAR ID and verify it using OTP. If you don’t have an APAAR ID, click on “Click here to Verify/Create APAAR ID”, Log in using Meri Pehchaan by giving access to your Digilocker account.Copy your APAAR ID and verify it by pasting on UPTAC application page. You cannot proceed with any further step without verifying your APAAR ID.

Step 3 – Personal details: Fill in the details under Personal Details, Domicile and sub domicile, category, sub-category, parents details and address. Select if your APAAR data matches the existing certificates, otherwise select the flag for mismatch.

Step 4 – Uploads: Upload scanned colour photograph (between 10-500 KB,jpg/jpeg/png), scanned signature (between 10-500 KB) , color Domicile certificate ( between 100-500 KB, PDF) , 10+2 marksheet and certificate, JEE Main scorecard and other certificates required. OBC certificate has to be dated after 01.04.2026.

Step 5 – Preview and Pay: Preview all details entered, read the declaration, mark the consent box and click on “Confirm Details and Pay Registration Fee”. Pay the registration fee of 1,000 through card, internet banking, NEFT/RTGS, or UPI. Make sure not to press the back or refresh button while the payment is in process.

Step 6 – Apply for Program: after paying the fee go to the ‘Apply for a Programme’ option, choose B.Tech and after entering your JEE application number your Rank and score will automatically be displayed. Fill up the academic details as requested and look for the eligibility criteria at the bottom before proceeding to submit.

Step 7 – Print Application Form: download the filled application form and the payment receipt from the application portal.
