UPTAC Counselling 2026 has 7 rounds in total:
Round 1 – Main allotment round. Registration (25 May – 15 June 2026), Choice Filling (22–25 June 2026), Allotment (27 June 2026). Exclusively for JEE Main candidates who are UP domicile or studied in UP. This is the only registration window for regular rounds.
Round 2 – Seat upgrade round. Choice alteration allowed (30 June – 1 July 2026). Allotment on 3 July 2026. Candidates can revise their preference list.
Round 3 – Final choice round. Last chance to change preferences (6–7 July 2026). Allotment on 9 July 2026. Choices locked here apply to Round 4 and internal sliding as well.
Round 4 – Auto freeze allotment on 11 July 2026. No choice filling, Round 3 locked choices are used. All candidates are automatically frozen. Seat confirmation fee for new allotments: 11–13 July 2026. Physical reporting: 14–16 July 2026.
Round 5 (Internal Sliding) – For physically reported candidates only. Online willingness: 14–16 July 2026. Allotment on 18 July 2026. Applies only if seats remain vacant within the same institute.
Special Round 1 – Open to new eligible registrants and candidates who withdrew. Choice Filling: 19–23 July 2026. Allotment: 25 July 2026. Physical Reporting: 27–28 July 2026. OSGE candidates eligible here.
Special Round 2 – Final round. Choice Filling: 27–30 July 2026. Allotment: 31 July 2026. Physical Reporting: 31 July – 3 August 2026. No refund applicable in Special Rounds.
